In October 2022, the Center for Global Program and Studies and the Department of French Studies hosted a 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Wake Forest Dijon Program. Alumni of the Dijon program, faculty, students, and WFU administrators came together in beautiful Dijon for a joyous celebration, October 20-22, 2022.

The group welcomed past and present host families to a reception on Thursday evening; discovered and rediscovered favorite city sites on a faculty-led walking tour on Friday morning; took a group excursion to the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits wine region on Saturday afternoon; celebrated with a gala dinner on Saturday evening; and said goodbye – or, we hope, à bientôt ! – over a cozy breakfast on Saturday morning. It was a wonderful experience for all who attended! These connections affirmed the impact that the program continues to have on our Wake Forest students, today and in the future.

A few photos from the events were posted on the department’s Instagram.

We thank all who joined in the celebration, and missed those who were unable to attend! We encourage all Dijon program alumni to fill out our WFU Dijon Program Alumni Connections survey to share memories and photos from their time in Dijon.
