Véronique McNelly is an Associate Professor of the Practice in the Department of French Studies. Her interests include francophone West African and Caribbean literature. She received a Fulbright research grant to Senegal, West Africa, as well as a Carter G. Woodson Institute Residential Fellowship at the University of Virginia. She previously taught at Tulane and at Washington and Lee University. She has taught in Togo, West Africa while in the Peace Corps. In addition, she taught at the Lycée Marie Curie in Sceaux, France. She has led Wake Forest study abroad programs in Tours and in Dijon.
